KS1 Music Story that follows Michael & his dog on their adventure. Teach KS1 or EYFS class rhyme, rhythm & phonics through this ready-to-use, beautifully illustrated storybook. The national curriculum in KS1 says that music lessons “should engage and inspire pupils to develop a love of music and their talent as musicians, and so increase their self-confidence, creativity, and sense of achievement.” Musical stories are very helpful for this if you want to build foundational early literacy skills. Children’s stories are repetitive, supporting the development of memory and offering practice in listening, vocalising, and much more beyond.
Throughout this story, we introduce the concepts of cause and effect and sequencing of events, while often providing valuable information about the world. This gives children the opportunity to learn new vocabulary, stimulate imagination, use their minds and bodies together, socialise and of course, have a great time!
