Top 5 Amazing Singing Rounds For Kids

Singing rounds for kids are a great way to make your choir or class songs that little bit more interesting.

What are singing rounds for kids?

A singing round, or canon, is a musical song where two or more people are singing the same melody, but the starting time is different for each person (or group of people). It’s a great way to teach children about rhythm and counting whilst encouraging independent musician skills.

  1. Calypso – Jan Holdstock
Anytime you need a calypso,
Here is what you must do:

So shake a little, shake a little,
Shake a little shaker,

And you sing a strum
And then there's a calypso for you
